Dear Jen...just wanted to let you know that they trays
came yesterday. They are absolutely perfect and absolutely
gorgeous! You guys are a life save. Can now move the miniature
orchids out of reach of the Labrador Retrievers. The trays are
made so well...I have seen a lot of plant trays but these are the
nicest!! Thank you so much for all your kind consideration in
getting these done for me as quickly as you did. I know I will be
ordering more.

I have
purchased a total of three custom-sized humidity trays: 2 that are
copper and 1 that is aluminum with a dark pewter powder finish. I want
to compliment the company for the prompt replies I have received about
my needs and requests. I grow orchids and gesneriads, both of which
require high humidity levels. The trays are a required
item in my house over the winter. My plants thrive...my oldest tray is
going on it's 4th winter. The natural patina looks great. These
trays
are sturdy! Even when they are nearly filled with pea gravel and
plants these trays never warp. I am a totally satisfied customer.

 "I
am delighted to have purchased the two custom made (12.5" X 60" X 1.5")
copper humidity trays from you! I was pleasantly
surprised to have received them about a week earlier than your
initial time frame, particularly with the Christmas shipping season and
the delays in shipping most anything at that time.
 Just
wanted to let you know what a beautiful addition they are to my home
and how they enhance my orchids. Prior to these trays I was using the
round clay saucers with lava rocks in them as humidifier trays. As happens
with the clay pots (even the "waterproof" ones leak occasionally) they
take up a lot of room and I was having to refill them on a daily basis.
As
you can see from the enclosed pictures I am able now to group many more
orchids in the same amount of space. Also with the black lava
rock and the shiny copper it adds a touch of elegance to the plants
being showcased. The lava rock (due to its porosity) absorbs much more
water than gravel/river rock and although I was using it in the clay
saucers I now only have to add water
about every three days.
  Because of the copper I have not had to
battle any algae growth or leaking (I assume because of the welded
seams) that I had to fight with the
clay pots.
As my collection grows I
will be ordering additional trays from you, probably this
summer."

 For
the price I was expecting a lesser quality tray, so I was very
pleased to open my package to see trays out of a heavy gauge of copper
sheet with nice seams and not a sharp edge anywhere. The custom trays
are a perfect fit to their spot. Thank you all very much. You would
be a hit at the Philadelphia flower show market.

I wanted to take the time to share how
much your copper trays have impacted my orchid business! I spend much of my
time just attending to the reactions of those who find the trays so unique
and functional. As the trays can be dressed up (polished), or allowed to
show their inevitable patina, they seem to always find a buyer.
The sizable gauge of copper, consistency of
welding, quality and overall workmanship is clearly evident the
first time one picks up a tray. As an Architectural Engineer, I can
truly say you demonstrate "form follows function.

 I have found
no other product that comes close to your copper trays.
It was very easy dealing with your sales staff
and the trays are handsome, handcrafted pieces that are very
competitive with what is commercially available (but never in the size I
needed).
I am glad that I found your company – I now
have a beautiful copper trays for my antique greenhouse and my
orchids are very happy!

I live on the 5th
floor of a high rise condominium so I really don't have an opportunity to
do much gardening. I am, of course, expected to mow the
grass if it gets five stories high and shovel the snow if it get five
stories deep.
I was therefore
excited when I discovered the copper plant trays by Eastern because
the window sills in my condo are very narrow and generally not conducive
to potted plants. I now have plant trays mounted on shelf brackets at
nearly every window sill and I can now enjoy orchids and manifold other
plants throughout the year.

I have purchased 2 custom copper
humidity trays from Eastern for my orchid collection. I provided the
measurements and they constructed the trays to the exact size.
No more unattractive plastic pot holders!!
I bought some 2' by 4' plastic "egg crates", the plastic inserts used in
suspended ceilings, cut them to size and use them in the trays to keep the
orchids "feet dry."
I've gotten many compliments about
my trays that sit on my window sill in the kitchen. I'm sure as my
orchid collection grows, my first call will be to Eastern.
